Car Accident in Chino Valley Sends Four to Hospitals

Chino Valley, Arizona—An accident in Chino Valley involving three vehicles sent four people to hospitals on Tuesday morning. 

According to Chino Valley Police, shortly after 7:00 a.m., a Jeep Wrangler southbound on SR-89 driven by a 54-year-old man from Paulden stopped in the roadway to turn left onto Jack Dale Drive.   A Toyota Minivan, also southbound, driven by a 50-year-old woman and carrying a 24-year-old male passenger, both from Golden Valley, rear-ended the Jeep forcing it into the northbound lane where it collided nearly head-on with a Ford F-250 hauling a trailer driven by a 61-year-old man from Dewey.  

All four people involved were transported to hospitals.  The driver of the Jeep was air-evac'd to a hospital in Phoenix, while the other three were transported by ambulance to area hospitals nearby. 

No additional information regarding the victims’s identities or current medical conditions was released.
