Danny Ray Parsley Killed in Construction Site Accident
Rimrock, Arizona—Danny Ray Parsley, age 48 of Camp Verde, died from injuries he received on Tuesday when a backhoe pinned him against a wall of a building under construction. Paramedics rushed to the construction site in the 1500 block of East Solar Place. Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived shortly thereafter. Mr. Parsley was transported to the Verde Valley Medical Center where he later died.
One of the construction crew members said Mr. Parsley was shoveling dirt next to a backhoe as it dug out a footing along the wall of a building. The left stabilizing arm of the tractor was in a raised position. As the operator extended the backhoe to dig, the entire tractor slid forward. Mr. Parsley’s mid-section was crushed as he was pinned against the wall.
The YCSO is still investigating the accident.
We extend our condolences to Mr. Parsley’s family and friends over this tragic loss.
