Two People Hospitalized Following Head-On Collision in Prescott Valley

Prescott Valley, Arizona—Two drivers are hospitalized following a head-on collision Thursday morning on SR-89A. Accident investigators with the Prescott Valley Police Department say the crash occurred east of Coyote Springs Road at about 8:20 a.m. Police report that a Ford Ranger eastbound on SR-89A drifted into the path of an oncoming 34-foot rental truck.
The driver of the Ranger required extrication from his truck and was air-evac'd to a Phoenix hospital for treatment of his serious injuries. The driver of the rented truck was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center for treatment. SR-89A was closed for several hours while authorities investigated the accident.
