Jesus Zazueta Killed in Pedestrian-Car Accident in Cottonwood
Cottonwood, Arizona—The Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of an accident at SR-260 and Western Drive that claimed the life of Jesus A. Zazueta, age 31 of Cottonwood, on Tuesday night.
Accident investigators determined that a BMW, driven by an as-yet unidentified 20-year old-man from Camp Verde, was traveling westbound on SR-260 at a high rate of speed. The car struck Mr. Zazueta before leaving the roadway and coming to rest in a ravine.
Mr. Zazueta died from his injuries at the scene. The driver of the BMW was air evac'd to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. The accident investigation is ongoing.
