Three-Year-Old Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident
Prescott Valley, Arizona—A hit-and-run accident in Prescott Valley on Friday afternoon sent an injured three-year-old to the hospital.
Witnesses report that a yellow Dodge passenger car southbound on Navajo Drive ran a red light at Florentine Road. It struck the side of a westbound Honda Civic at an estimated speed of 60 miles per hour before fleeing the scene. A three-year-old passenger in the Honda was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center (East Campus) for treatment of a foot injury, which is expected to heal.
Police located the hit-and-run driver and arrested him on Saturday. He was identified as Monserrat Guadalupe Valencia, age 30. Valencia was booked into Prescott County Jail on five felonies and one misdemeanor.
