Ronald Darnell Killed in Head-On Collision in Prescott Valley

Prescott Valley, Arizona—Ronald D. Darnell, age 69 of Dewey, was killed Saturday night when his car was struck head-on by a Ford pickup truck on Highway 69 at Fain Road. The truck, driven by 39 year old Joel Brandon Neider of Parker, crossed the centerline of the highway before hitting Mr. Darnell’s car.
Prescott Valley Police accident investigators report that Neider was arrested following his release from a Phoenix hospital on Tuesday. He reportedly is charged with vehicular manslaughter, seven counts of felony endangerment, three counts of DUI and felony criminal damage.
We extend our sympathy to Mr. Darnell’s family and friends over this tragic and senseless loss.
