Harry Traub and Abeline Traub Killed in Collision on SR-69 Near Dewey

Dewey, Arizona—A head-on car accident on SR-69 near Dewey on Friday has left two people dead and a third with serious injuries. The crash occurred at 11:06 a.m.
According to officers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a vehicle traveling southbound on SR-69 crossed into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with another vehicle. Harry Traub and Abeline Traub were front seat occupants of the vehicle that crossed into oncoming traffic and were pronounced dead at the scene. An unidentified passenger in the backseat of that vehicle was air evac'd to a hospital in Phoenix for treatment of serious injuries.
Police are working to determine why the vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic.
