
Five People Injured After Car Slams Into Back of Golf Cart

Scottsdale, Arizona—A crash involving a vehicle and a golf cart early Sunday morning injured five people. The collision occurred on Miller Road near Chaparral Road at about 2:30 a.m.
According to accident investigators with the Scottsdale Police Department, a car driven by Robert A. Gandara, age 22, was northbound on Miller Road near Chaparral Road when it struck the rear of a golf cart carrying five people.
Scottsdale Fire Department reports that four people were transported to a nearby trauma center with serious injuries. The fifth person sustained minor injuries. Among the debris in the roadway was what appeared to be a bachelorette veil.
Gandara was taken into custody and charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault.
