Jason Barnhart Killed in Pedestrian Accident

Scottsdale, Arizona—Jason Barnhart, age 48, died after he was struck by a car as he crossed 68th Street on Thursday morning at about 6:20 a.m.  

Scottsdale Police Department accident investigators report that Mr. Barnhart was crossing 68th Street just north of Thomas Road when he was struck by a northbound car driven by Amy Durgan, age 47.  

Despite the efforts of Scottsdale Fire Department paramedics, Mr. Barnhart died at the scene.  Ms. Durgan remained at the scene.  Police determined she was impaired and arrested her for DUI.

The investigation continues.
