
Nicholas Meath Killed in Car Accident on Scottsdale Road

Scottsdale, Arizona—An alleged street race ended in a crash that killed one of the drivers Saturday night at about 6:30 p.m. Nicholas Meath, age 21, and Cameron Groom, age 27, were driving their cars side-by-side southbound on Scottsdale Road at a high rate of speed near Indian Bend Road when Mr. Meath lost control of his vehicle.
His car left the roadway and slammed into a structural support pillar at the entrance to the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. Scottsdale Police report that he died at the scene. Groom was arrested on one count of reckless manslaughter and six counts of endangerment.
