Peter Johnson Dies in Car Accident After Driver Runs Red Light

Scottsdale, Arizona—Peter Johnson, age 79, was killed on Saturday morning when his vehicle was t-boned at 74th Street and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard in Scottsdale.

According to investigators with the Scottsdale Police Department, Mr. Johnson was easbound on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard when a driver ran a red light and struck his vehicle. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. Investigators do not believe impairment was factor in the accident.

The driver accused of running the red light was not injured in the collision and has not been identified by accident investigators.
