Roel Vera and Walter Scurei Killed in Accident in Scottsdale, Three Others Hospitalized

Scottsdale, Arizona—Three vehicles collided at Pinnacle Peak and Pima roads Sunday afternoon.  One of the cars was driven by Roel Vera, age 48, who died at the scene.  Four others were hospitalized.  A passenger in one of the other vehicles, Walter Scurei, age 87, died of his injuries on Monday morning.

No additional information regarding the victims’ identities or current medical conditions was released. The investigation is ongoing.
