Two Adolescents Injured in Car-Skateboarding Accident

Tempe, Arizona—A 13-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl suffered injuries after they were struck by a vehicle while skateboarding in Tempe early Monday evening. The accident occurred at College Avenue and Southern Avenue.
Accident investigators did not release the names of the young people. The girl initially was listed in serious condition but has since been upgraded to stable. The boy’s injuries are minor.
The vehicle driver remained at the scene and the accidnet investigation is ongoing.
