Tire Blowout Results in Collision With Cement Truck

Phoenix, Arizona—A passenger car collided with a cement truck on Tuesday morning after one of the car’s tires blew out. The accident, which occurred on eastbound Loop 101 near 56th Street in Phoenix, caused the cement mixer truck to overturn and catch fire. The truck driver was able to escape the cab without serious injuries.

The driver of the car was reportedly uninjured.

Two lanes of freeway traffic were blocked until the fire was extinguished and the police investigation completed.
