Two Injured When Semi-Truck Slides Down 60-Foot Embankment

Flagstaff, Arizona—A semi-truck westbound on Interstate 40 slid down a 60-foot embankment between Bellemont and Flagstaff this morning at about 3:20 a.m. Crews from the Ponderosa Fire Department arrived to find the semi-truck wedged amongst the pine trees. 

The Camp Navajo Fire Department assisted in extracting the two occupants, who were then transported to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.  The accident investigation continues.
