
Carl Howard Killed While Crossing Speedway Boulevard in Tucson

Tucson, Arizona—Carl Howard, age 42, was killed in a pedestrian accident while crossing Speedway Boulevard on Saturday night. Tucson Police were called to the scene at Speedway, just east of Pantano Road around 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Howard was crossing Speedway to the north at Maguire Avenue when he was struck by a car traveling west in the center lane. The driver remained at the scene. Mr. Howard was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Accident investigators report that neither speed nor impairment appear to be factors contributing to the accident.
