Tucson, Arizona—Emmeal Martin, age 105, succumbed to injuries he sustained in a car accident last Saturday morning. Tucson Police Department accident investigators reported that a Kia Sportage SUV was traveling east on 22nd Street when the light at Alvernon turned red. The driver did not stop for the red light.
A Toyota Prius with a lagging green arrow initiated a left turn onto Alvernon. The front end of the Kia struck the passenger side of the Prius. The Kia continued through the intersection and struck a Honda Accord and a Chevy pickup truck that were stopped at the northbound red light. The accident investigation is ongoing.
We extend our condolences to Mr. Martin’s family and friends at this time of great loss for them.
