Tucson, Arizona—John Gordon Dear, age 70, died Saturday from injuries he sustained in an accident nearly two weeks ago.
The accident started at the intersection of Prince Road and First Avenue on January 19th. A Toyota Tacoma truck westbound on Prince Road turned left onto First Avenue where it collided with an eastbound Dodge Charger. The Charger veered out of control across several lanes of traffic, jumped the curb and came to rest in a parking lot on the southeast corner where Mr. Dear was walking.
Tucson Fire medics administered aid and transported Mr. Dear to Banner University Medical Center, where he died two weeks later.
Police say neither speed nor impairment contributed to the accident.
We extend our condolences to John Dear’s family and friends over this tragic loss.
