
Car Accident Near Amado Kills One, Injures Another

Tucson, Arizona—A driver is hospitalized after his car was struck by another that crossed the median and smashed into his car and two other vehicles. The tragic accident occurred on Friday evening.
According to Arizona Department of Public Safety accident investigators, Maritza Campa, age 27 of Nogales, was driving a Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Interstate 19 near Amado when her car crossed the median into oncoming traffic. Her car collided with a Chrysler 200 and two others.
Ms. Campa was pronounced dead at the scene. The as-yet unidentified driver of the Chrysler was air evacuated to Banner University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
