Tucson, Arizona—A head-on collision on SR-82 just outside Patagonia claimed the lives of two people Monday afternoon.  Frederick Sang, II, age 66 of Patagonia, was driving his pickup truck eastbound on SR-82 when, for unknown reasons, his truck crossed the center line of the roadway and collided head-on with a westbound commercial vehicle driven by Miniatu “Mia” Renee Sannoh, of Houston, Texas.  Both drivers succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.

Arizona Department of Public Safety accident investigators determined both were wearing safety restraints at the time of the collision. The accident investigation is ongoing.

We extend our condolences to the families and friends of Mr. Sang and Ms. Sannoh over this tragic loss.
