
Yuma Teens Seriously Injured After Crashing into Tree

Yuma, Arizona—Two teenagers are in critical condition after their vehicle crashed into a tree early Saturday morning. The accident occurred near the 2500 block of South 33rd Drive in Yuma around 4:31 a.m.
According to accident investigators with the Yuma Police Department, the vehicle crashed into a tree located in the center median. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the collision.
The 19-year-old driver and his 18-year-old passenger initially were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center before being flown to a Phoenix hospital due to the severity of their injuries. Another passenger, also 18 years old, was treated at Yuma Regional Medical Center for minor injuries. Police have not released the identities of those involved.
