
Emily Akins Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision

Casa Grande, Arizona—Emily Akins, age 20, was killed on Saturday evening as she rode her bicycle near Kadota Avenue and Saguaro Street. The driver who hit her fled the scene but was later arrested by investigating officers.
Witness interviews led the police to arrest Christina Rascon, age 40. She was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal collision and DUI. According to police, Ms. Rascon demonstrated signs of impairment when she was taken into custody.
