Kristina Sikora Dies of Injuries from Hit-and-Run Accident

Tucson, Arizona—Kristina Dale Sikora, age 73, died today of injuries she received on Monday night when she was struck while crossing the street.  

According to Tucson Police Department accident investigators, Ms. Sikora was crossing Broadway Boulevard from south to north in a marked crosswalk at Mountain Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. when she was struck by a dark-colored four-door sedan westbound on Broadway.

She was using a medical walker and was carrying a mobile oxygen tank.  The driver fled the scene.  Ms. Sikora was transported by Tucson Fire Medics to a nearby hospital in extremely critical condition.    

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect vehicle.  Anyone with information should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
