Goodyear, Arizona—Police are searching for the driver of a Honda passenger car that reportedly struck a FedEx semi-truck, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a pole. The impact with the pole split the cab in half. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred on westbound I-10 near Bullard Avenue at about 11:45 p..m. on Sunday night.
Following the collision, the Honda exited the freeway and has not been seen since. The truck driver was transported to a nearby hospital with reported back injuries. The investigation is ongoing as police continue to search for the driver of the Honda.
