Head-on Collision on Highway 89 Near Cameron Claims Two Lives
Cameron, Arizona—A car accident on Highway 89 just south of Cameron claimed two lives on Friday afternoon. Arizona Department of Public Safety accident investigators report that a Chevy Malibu was southbound on Highway 89 when it crossed the center line and struck a northbound Chevy Silverado head-on.
The driver of the Malibu and a passenger in the Silverado both died at the scene. Two people, including the driver of the Silverado, were transported to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
The highway was closed for four hours during the accident investigation, which is ongoing.
