Michael Workman Struck and Killed While Crossing Street in Wheelchair

Mesa, Arizona—Michael Workman, age 58, was struck by a car while crossing University Drive near Dobson Road in his wheelchair shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning. 

The car’s driver, Joseph Hunt, age 29, called police to report the accident. Mr. Workman was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Mesa Police are still investigating.
