Valley Metro Bus Accident Injures Several People, Leaves One Dead

Mesa, Arizona— A collision between a Valley Metro bus and a four-door passenger car on Wednesday left the car’s driver deceased and several people injured.

The Mesa Police Department, as well as Mesa fire and medical crews responded to the accident on University Drive between Greenfield and Higley roads.

Authorities have not released the names of anyone involved in the accident.  Several people were injured and treated at the scene.  The bus driver was transported to Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa in stable condition.

We extend our condolences to the victim’s family and friends over this tragic loss.  We wish speedy and full recoveries for the bus driver and others who were injured.
