Driver Killed, Another Injured After Two Trucks Collide in Quartzsite

Quartzsite, Arizona—Two commercial vehicles collided on I-10 near Quartzsite on Thursday morning, leaving one driver dead and sending the other to a hospital.  

According to Arizona DPS accident investigators, a commercial vehicle traveling eastbound on I-10 at milepost 18 left the right side of the roadway and side-swiped a disabled vehicle that was stopped on the shoulder.  

Driver fatigue is considered a factor contributing to the accident as the investigation continues.  Authorities have not released the identities of those involved.

We extend our sympathy to the deceased driver’s family and friends as they mourn his loss.  We wish the injured driver a swift and full recovery.
